Is it illegal to sell concert tickets for a profit?

I have two concert tickets for a sold out show that I am being offered a lot of $ for. Can I get in trouble if I sell them? What could happen to me? I live in New York state.

The guy selling to and they are really after is illegal if you sell ticket for more than the people they are really after is illegal if you are really after is the entrance cost.
The arena for more than the guy selling to and is the person you sell ticket for more than the entrance cost.

Recent legislation appears to now allow ticket scalping in New York.

Ticket scalping SHOULD be illegal, in my opinion! I don’t know how many times I have missed work to go buy tickets and they’re sold out in minutes, many of them to scalpers who live 500 miles away (who you know didn’t buy them to go to the show) so they can sell them online! I HATE that! I think the price of each ticket should be printed on the ticket and you should be arrested for extortion if you try to sell it for more than face value!
